It’s the last week of school!   You’ve survived 6th grade and are on your way to 7th!  Congratulations! 

Write a full, 5 sentence paragraph about the best things about 6th grade. 

As you finish up 6th grade, what would you tell next year’s 6th graders about how to “survive 6th grade”?   Think of your classes, homework, teachers, behavior points, passes, etc.  Write at least 5 GOOD sentences of advice!  Don’t forget to tell WHY they should or should not do something!

Wednesday is Grizzly Games for 6th grade!   My favorite events are the tug of rope competitions and the teacher relays!   I love to see the teachers go crazy!

 What event did you sign up for?   What event are you most excited to see?

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week!   Tell about a teacher you appreciate!   Why do you appreciate that particular teacher?   Remember, write at least 5 sentences!!

 It’s CRCT week, and you’ve already had two tests (Reading and L.A.).  What do you think was or will be the easiest?  What about the hardest? 

REMEMBER:  You are all wonderful students and I’m proud of you!

Responsibility – when others can count on you.

In the chapters we’ve read this week, Zero ran away from Camp Green Lake, and Stanley went after him.  If you were Stanley, do you think you would go after Zero?  Why or why not?

In Holes, Stanley wants to work for the F.B.I., and Magnet wants to work with animals.  Why does Mr. Pendanski want the boys to discuss their futures?  What kinds of jobs do you think would be good for X-Ray, Zigzag and Squid?

In Holes, we read about the Spotted Lizard.  Imagine you see the Spotted Lizard in the desert.  What would you do?
